Another version of the first Japanese CD pressing; comes with a unique obi-strip and an additional b&w CD booklet featuring a short history of the band in Japanese. Although originally intended by Factory as a definitive collection of all New Order's 12" versions there are some discrepancies (indicated below). It should be noted that most - if not all - of these version discrepancies are present on all CD pressings of this release: Disc One: 1-1 is the re-recorded 12" version with Gillian Gilbert. 1-3, 1-4 are re-recorded 1987 versions, specifically recorded for this release. 1-2, 1-4, 1-6, 1-10, 1-12 are the original 12" versions. 1-7 to 1-9 are unique edits of the original 12" versions. Disc Two: 2-3 is famously mislabeled as Mesh when it should be Cries And Whispers. 2-4 is a unique edit of the original 12" version. All other tracks on Disc Two are the original 12" versions. The disc face incorrectly attributes Arthur Baker credits to 2-5 when they should be for 2-6. ℗ & © 1987 Factory Communications Limited 1987.8 Made in Japan by Nippon Columbia Co., Ltd.
