Harald Grosskopf

German drummer, keyboard player and composer, born October 23, 1949 in Hildesheim, Germany. He came in contact with the musicians of later Krautrock band Wallenstein in 1970 and he moved from Hildesheim to Mönchengladbach and became drummer of the predecessor of Wallenstein, called "Blitzkrieg". The band was renamed to "Wallenstein" the same year and in 1972, they recorded their first album. Grosskopf stayed in the band until 1975 and was part of 4 album recordings. Then he was bored by the music of the band and left. He then joined Manuel Göttsching in his new project Ashra, in the early 1980's, he was part of the German New Wave band Lilli Berlin. Furthermore, he went solo in those years and additionally now regularly played also synthesizer and keyboards. He was part of many German 1980's productions as studio musician. In the 1990's, he founded several Techno projects, in the 2000's he was composer and performer of film scores.
