American Country/Hillbilly/Rockabilly singer and acoustic guitar player. Born September 14, 1918 in Covington, TN. Died February 21, 2001 (aged 82) in Memphis, TN.
Malcolm enjoyed a huge revival and fame in 1988-1992 specifially in Europe, due to his Sun Records songs being re-released on various compilations.
Released his 1st album in 1997 at the age of 79 years old.
He became paralyzed in December 2000, due to a tumor cutting across his spinal cord. Two months later, he was hospitalized with pneumonia, resulting in a heart failure.
