Anita Haxsaw, a female-fronted side project of Zeitmahl (now known as Lost Tapes), was a dark electronic and alternative rock duo with gothic rock, synth-pop, and downtempo influences. Anita Haxsaw formed in 1996, in the U.S. region of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, consisting of vocalist, lyricist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Shok, alongside vocalist, lyricist, and frontwoman Adrienne Louise Hecker, who was introduced to Anita Haxsaw in 1997, after Shok wrote their first song.
Anita Haxsaw released one major album in 1997, titled "Unmixed: Songs from Pluutonique" (a.k.a. "Pluutonique"), featuring songs from a previous undated release, titled "DAM This CD".
In 1998, the duo sought to be signed after gaining label interest, but dissolved following Hecker's prevailing interest in her college rock band and Shok's growing successes.
