Paul Pabst

Pavel Augustovich Pabst (born Christian Georg Paul Pabst; May 27, 1854, Königsberg - May 28 [O.S. June 9], 1897, Moscow). German and Russian pianist, piano teacher and composer. Son of the composer August Pabst (1811–1885). In 1878 he came to Russia and taught at the Moscow Conservatory until his death. Since 1881 professor. Among his students: Константин Игумнов, Alexander Goldenweiser, Alexander Goedicke, Елена Бекман-Щербина, Nikolai Medtner, Georgy Konyus, Arseny Koreshchenko, Maria Kerzina and others.
