Nel Monteiro was born in Resende, Portugal (11th May 1945). In 1984 he recorded "Azar na Praia" influenced by [A=Jorge Machado]. In 1985 he recorded "Retrato Sagrado" for [A=Cândida Branca Flor]. He wrote also songs for [A=Dino Meira], [A=Emanuel (5)], [A=Chiquita (2)] and [A=Luis Filipe Reis]. In 1994 he released his most successfull song "Bronca na discoteca” and in 2006 the infamous yet grandious "Puta, Vida, Merda, Cagalhões".
