Ana Costa is a Brazilian singer, composer, and instrumentalist recognized for her contributions to samba and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira). She began her musical career in the 1990s, performing with groups such as Coeur-Sambá and Roda de Saia (later known as O Roda), where she showcased her skills as a vocalist and guitarist. Costa's debut solo album achieved notable success, becoming the best-selling Brazilian music album in Japan and earning her the "Revelation Artist" award at the 5th Rival Petrobras Music Prize. In 2007, she performed alongside Arnaldo Antunes at the opening ceremony of the Pan American Games, singing the event's official song. Throughout her career, Costa has released multiple albums, solidifying her presence in the Brazilian music scene. Her work often pays homage to traditional samba, and she has collaborated with esteemed artists like Beth Carvalho, Dona Ivone Lara, and Martinho da Vila.
