Costa's debut solo album achieved notable success, becoming the best-selling Brazilian music album in Japan and earning her the "Revelation Artist" award at the 5th Rival Petrobras Music Prize. In 2007, she performed alongside Arnaldo Antunes at the opening ceremony of the Pan American Games, singing the event's official song.
