David Kirby

An Atlanta-based composer and improvisor who has recently made the transition from digital composition to live improvisation. Kirby now performs using magnetic recording devices such as 4-track cassette recorders, hand-held tape recorders, and vintage reel-to-reels. He also curates the Homophoni web label, with a focus on electroacoustic music, and recently released his first improvised recording, entitled Cittacaura.
