Diana Pequeno

Brazilian singer and songwriter, born in Salvador on January 25, 1958. Rose to prominence in the late 1970's as a singer whilst in college, studying engineering. She had a characteristically Brazilian repertoire, mixed with romantic ballads with medieval, oriental and African influences. She recorded her first album at the age of 19, moving to São Paulo in 1978, She was briefly married to Dercio Marques, divorcing him in 1982. She returned to college at the end of her contract with RCA-Victor, graduating in 1985. After recording several solo albums she faded from the music industry, with a final appearance in 2005.
