In Pieces was a progressive post-hardcore/alternative rock band from Glastonbury, Connecticut, United States.
The band started with drummer TJ Orscher and guitarists Rick Quagliaroli and Val Loper in early 2000. In Pieces' first tour was supporting From Autumn To Ashes and This Day Forward at Hellfest in Syracuse, New York. In the coming months, the band continued their rise while amassing material for their first full-length. In the winter 2001 the band went to God City Studios with producer Kurt Ballou to record their first full album Learning To Accept Silence.
For their second album, In Pieces booked time with producer Andrew Schneider at New Alliance Studios in Boston to record Lions Write History. The album was produced, mixed, and engineered by Andrew Schneider, mastered by Nick Zampiallo.
