Morris Mwape was a Zambian musician, singer and songwriter best known for his membership in the Zamrock and Kalindula band, 5 Revolutions. The 5 Revolutions original lineup included Chris Mbewe who left the band early on and later became the lead guitarist for WITCH. Mbewe was replaced by Morris Mwape, who became the band's lead guitarist and lead vocalist for most of their Zamrock music. He is credited for writing numerous 5 Revolution songs and performed on most of their records. In the early 1980's he released at least one single under his own name, Tekanya Rhoda (Ba Mayo Baletandaula). He remained a member of the 5 Revolutions through the 80s and 90s until the band's demise. Mwape passed away in 2007.
