He played with The Sparrow, but left before they became Steppenwolf. He wrote “Born To Be Wild,” though he wasn't member of the band when they recorded it. (Born 21 April 1943). Name appears as Mars Bon Fire on the 1990 album "Breakin' Through The Doors" by Sunlight Sky Saxon & The Dragonslayers.
