Australian country singer, from the Gamilaroi nation, born in 1948.
Known as the Black Elvis, the Koori King of Country and the Murri Cowboy.
He is the survivor of two plane crashes. In one of them he was badly burnt and he was pulled to safety by New Zealand singer, Stephen Bunz. His drummer Ken Ramsay and the pilot Kurt Schenk were killed in the crash.
His son is band leader guitarist, Buddy Knox.
