The Optimist

Third album from California singer-songwriter Grover Anderson. The Optimist was recorded in 2013 across three California locations: Los Angeles, the Bay Area, and Murphys. Grover had produced a diverse collection of songs since writing the last album, in which he indulged his interests in dark storytelling and love songs, both joyous and forlorn. The self-produced album took the full year to record, soliciting performances from studio musicians, local musicians, and friends old and new. The result is both a personal passion project and an eclectic mix of genres featuring stellar musicianship and powerful vocals.
