The full title is: "John Lewis Presents Contemporary Music Jazz Abstractions Compositions by Gunther Schuler & Jim Hall" Recorded in New York, Dec. 19 & 20, 1960. This is the 7 1/2 IPS open reel tape release. It states on the back cover: "This album is dedicated in the memory of Scott Lafaro, who was killed in an automobile accident a few months after performing on these album dates. Great though his talent was, Scotty, like all true artists, had an awareness of how much was yet to be accomplished."
