Electric Ladyland

Initial German releases were housed in a fragile, easily damageable gatefold sleeve, with the outside made of laminated cardboard and the inside made of printed paper pasted on the cardboard. These sleeves were replaced around 1970 with a more stable one showing a different catalog number (2612 002), see Electric Ladyland. The front cover shows an image of the group and the rear a red and yellow photo of Hendrix's head; the cover with nude girls only appeared still later. Though not indicated by the side specification (both records are marked as having an A- and B-side), the release is auto-coupled. Hence the track listing printed on the rear does not match that of the labels. The runouts are mostly stamped. On side A and B, the 8 has been scratched through and replaced by an etched 8. The last 2 on side A is etched. On side C the B has been scratched through and replaced by an etched A; the last A is also etched. On side D "184184 B" is stamped on a higher line with "613009 B" etched underneath, followed by a scratched-out string.
