Pirate press made to look like the original. Limited to 200 hand-numbered copies, including a lyrics sheet.
A few differences from the original are:
• differences in the front and back cover
• the inner/center vinyl labels are glued/pasted on instead of stamped
• while the runout has the same text, the handwriting of the etching is different
The cover art for this pressing is a collage of two different Michael Whelan paintings, reproduced here in black and white.
The majority of the image is taken from "Trantorian Dream" (1983) and the inset of the swordsman is detail taken from "The Sailor On the Seas of Fate" (1976).
"Trantorian Dream" was previously used as cover art for Isaac Asimov's novel "Foundation's Edge".
"The Sailor On the Seas of Fate" was previously used as cover art for Michael Moorcock's Elric novel of the same name, and later by Cirith Ungol for their album Paradise Lost (1991).
