Composed on the occasion of the British bombing raid on the evening of 23 February 1945 against the city of Pforzheim which was 80 percent destroyed and around 18,000 people lost their lives. On front cover: Background left: old Stadtkirche Pforzheim, Germany (heavily damaged, later demolished) Background right: Herz-Jesu-Kirche, Pforzheim (heavily damaged, later reconstructed)
