Kent Elektronik San. Ve Tic. A.Ş.

Turkish record company, the same company was operated under the name Kent Ses ve Plak Endüstrisi until 1985-1986 when it changed its name, due to the partnership with EMI. In 1995 EMI increased its stake in the company to 51% and effective Jan 1st 1996, the company was renamed to EMI-Kent Elektronik San. Ve Tic. A.Ş.. Album released on CD had the code 100XXX 2 (local releases), but the code for cassette tapes are different, which is TCP XXXX for popular- and TCC XXXX for classical repertoire (until 1989) and AIE XXX, for foreign and local album releases, respectively. The album code on CD would continue through EMI-Kent, although the barcode used has been changed to the same as EMI from the original barcode of 8 691284 XXXXXX (the last six digits representing the album code, media format, such as 2 for CD and 4 for cassette + check digit).
