UK based media company, legally operating under this name since 18 August 1993. The company is controlled by Peter Gabriel (with 50% direct ownership and 50% indirectly via 'Real World Holdings Limited').
"Real World Multimedia" was created by Peter Gabriel around a reveloutionary interactive project called 'Xplora1'. This first project garnered huge acclaim and led to the development of 'EVE', another big leap in CD-ROM design. In 1995 Real World Multimedia started to produce enhanced tracks for the 'Real World Notes' series of biannual publications, enhanced interactive tracks for various releases from Peter Gabriel and Real World Records, and to develop the beginnings of the group's web presence.
