US record label founded by Frank Zappa

Parent label: Warner Bros. Records·Est. 1973

en.wikipedia.org

Warner Bros. sub-label for Frank Zappa's albums between 1973 and 1979, co-owned by Herb Cohen and Frank Zappa. (From May 1976 the FZ / Cohen partnership ceased: Reissues of Bizarre Records or Straight releases continued under the DiscReet label - although some legacy sleeve art of either label may remain, or be 'adjusted') Various ongoing confrontations with Warner resulted in closure of DiscReet in 1979 and FZ gaining greater 'in-house control', with his labels Zappa Records (Founded 1977) & Barking Pumpkin Records (Revitalized in 1981).
