WTG Records

WTG Records was founded by and named for Walter Yetnikoff, Tommy Mottola, and Jerry Greenberg. WTG was a California-based, Epic Records imprint launched by three record executives—Walter Yetnikoff, Tommy Mottola and Jerry Greenberg—following Mottola's appointment as president of Sony after their acquisition of CBS, originally active from 1988 until 1993. After the moniker laid dormant for ten years, Sony-BMG reactivated the name WTG in 2003 as a budget reissue label for Columbia titles.
