Defunct vinyl pressing plant built in 1979 in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. The plant, formally known as Industrial Sonografica Venezolana C.A. was a subsidiary of the 1BC group of companies, owners of Distribuidora Sonografica C.A. By 1980, the plant added tape production lines.
The plant had the most modern equipment at the time with 8 Alpha Toolex Automatic presses and Neumann cutting lathes and equipped with 16 more presses if necessary. Although not the largest disk factory in the country, originally had capacity for 4 million disks a year.
Vinyl and Tape production ended by early 2000 and ceased operations.
This plant also used to press records and tapes for Polydor S.A. (2), PolyGram Discos, S.A. as well for many other local record companies.
