MSN (which stands for Microsoft Network) is an American web portal and related collection of Internet services and apps, initially launched by Microsoft in Aug 1995 alongside the release of Windows 95. The company launched a new web portal, originally named "Microsoft Internet Start," as the default home page for the Internet Explorer browser. In 1998, Microsoft renamed the portal and moved it to www.msn.com domain.
