DG-Records

DG-Records (aka D.G.-records or ООО "DG-Records") CDs usually contain DG-Records logo and the message "РАО №018/M3-97 04.09.97" on the back cover and on the CD picture side. The catalog number is usually LDDGxxx, where "xxx" is a 3-digit number. Catalog number is usually printed on the back cover, on the CD picture surface and on the CD matrix. On some releases Лицензионное соглашение № 2173/М3-97 от 18.04.97 г. Между РАО и ООО "КУПЕЦЪ" text can be found. "018/M3-97 04.09.97" and "2173/М3-97 от 18.04.97" are IDs and dates of of the license agreements between РАО (Russian Authors' Society or RAO) and the label. Such agreements allowed labels to release CDs & cassettes for the Russian market in the '90s. But as it was reported, no money were sent by РАО to the Western right owners, so label's releases were actually pirate (Unofficial). DG-Records releases have a collectable value, as they were often packaged different from the originals and came with a different, sometimes unique artwork. At the same time, the booklet was often poorer then original - for example, releases came with a 4 page front booklet, where inside pages (2 and 3) were blank. Parent company: ООО "Купецъ"
