Norwegian record company and label, owned by Ivar Dyrhaug. Established 1988 (although the first release was dated a year before) and acquired by BMG (through BMG Norway AS) in 1996. The parent company would continue operating the company and label until 1999-2000.
Releases are identified by the prefix code ID (the respective first letters of the owner's two words) followed by the respective codes for the formats, such as P for vinyl LPs, M for 12", K for cassettes and CD for CDs, along with the barcode 7 028681 XXXXXX (which included 00, album and format code, along with the check digit). Later, its releases share the same ISRC and barcode system with BMG, which started with 74321. Also, it would note that Norsk Plateproduskjon er en del av BMG Entertainment (Norsk Plateproduskjon is a part of BMG Entertainment), also used in its releases was Norsk Plateproduskjon, a unit of BMG Entertainment.
