Rhino Vinyl, an imprint of Rhino dedicated to "making classic recordings available again in the format of their original release," was launched in April 2003. A trio of Grateful Dead LPs were first to be released, followed by other classic rock albums of the early 1970s such as The Yes Album and T. Rex's Electric Warrior.
Warner Strategic Marketing's President Of Strategic Marketing And Custom Products, Mark Pinkus, told Billboard:
