JVC CA

JVC replication plant located in Sacramento, CA. Operated from 1997-2002. JVC officially opened its Sacramento, CA-based CD/DVD replication facility in June 1997. The plant was the company's second U.S. replication facility - the other was in Tuscaloosa, AL - JVC Disc America (there was also the Rinkan plant in Japan). The plant was closed in 2002. Plant Identifiers The plant can be identified by a combination of the following identifiers. • ‘JVC CA" usually stamped in the mould • “JVC CA ” sometimes printed in matrix (Example Something Crucial). • Glass Master SID codes IFPI L242, IFPI 243. • Mould SID codes IFPI 4131, IFPI 4141. • The basic matrix format of a JVC CA manufactured disc usually has the core structure of [Client identifier or catalogue number] [number capital letter]. IFPI L242 ceased to be used with the closure of the the plant in 2002. 2. IFPI L243 appears to have transferred to a Russian manufacturer in the latter part of 2002.
