Originally built in 1975, the Nook Studio was acquired and completely re-equipped as Greg Collins' production and mixing space in 2006. Centrally located in Studio City, The Nook has the warm atmosphere and excellent acoustic properties of many of Los Angeles’ legendary Tom Hidley – designed rooms, with the unique personality and vibe that reflects Collins’ personal style and love of great music. The first sessions to take place at The Nook were for Gwen Stefani’s “Sweet Escape” album and the studio has since hosted sessions for a diverse range of artists including No Doubt, Eels, KISS, Ingrid Michaelson, American Hi-Fi, Greg Laswell, and BT, as well as scoring work for Iron Man 2, ABC’s Detroit 187, and The Cartoon Network, among many others.
