Sounds (11)

German music magazine formed in 1966, covering mostly free jazz in the beginning. Since 1968 they also covered progressive rock. They changed their direction again in 1978/1979 towards punk and new wave and later towards pop music. The last issue appeared in January 1983 before being joined with the other prominent music magazine Musik Express as Musikexpress Sounds. In 2000 (under new management) the "Sounds" part of the name was dropped. In 2008 and 2009 Sounds was relaunched for 7 issues, but couldn't find a market.
