Brazilian Label associated with the free-to-air television network launched by Adolpho Bloch on 5 June 1983 to release its soap operas, miniseries, anime, and special television program soundtracks.
"Rede Manchete" was the broadcast television arm of Grupo Bloch (also known as Bloch Editôres S. A.), a prominent Brazilian media conglomerate based in Rio de Janeiro. Known for its sophisticated aesthetics and technological innovation, the network was famously marketed under the slogan "The TV of the Year 2000" ("A TV do Ano 2000").
Following severe financial crises during the late 1990s, the network officially ceased broadcasting operations on 10 May 1999, and its concession was subsequently transferred to what became Rede TV!.
