British manufacturing company (active 1950s to early 1960s) that specialised in making promotional card/records that were the forerunners of postcard style records.
In 1960, Hardy became involved in a legal dispute alongside Nestlé with music publishing holders, Chappell & Co. over copyright status a record made as a promotional item made by Hardy in conjunction with Nestle chocolate bars. The case went to the UK House of Lords who found in favour of Chapell. Little is known of Hardy after 1961, suggesting that participation in the legal case affected their long term viability.
