Purple Records Ltd.

Record company behind the label Purple Records, Incorporated 28th May 1971, Founded/majority owned by Tony Edwards and John Coletta. The company was established following the collapse of Tetragrammaton Records in 1970 whom Deep Purple were initially signed by for the US Market, Tony Edwards who was also Deep Purple's manager signed a new US deal with Warner Brothers and in 1971 launched the Purple Records label under the EMI Group umbrella.
