Club and venue in Cardiff, South Wales. Now closed. Opened in 1963 and hosted acts such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and U2. It went through many changes of name over its 40-year existence, including Ritzy’s, The Astoria, The Studio, Panama Joes and Purple. Planning permission for its demolition was granted in late 2004 and by 2005 the old Top Rank was gone for good.
