1966 The label was created while Johnny Rivers still was contracted to Imperial Records. Originally pressed and distributed by Liberty Records, Inc. 1969 The company credit commonly changed to Liberty/UA, Inc. 1970 After Rivers sold the label (but retained the label's name and logo), the The Fifth Dimension switched with their catalog to Bell Records 1976 Rivers' hit "Swayin to the Music (Slow Dancin')" on Big Tree Records bore the Soul City logo on the label. 1998 The label was reactivated by Rivers himself to reissue his back catalog and release new material. Please do not confuse with the UK label Soul City (3)
