The Sheer Group consisted of seven companies, each specialising in its own field; artist focused releases, compilation releases, dance music, online sales, live entertainment, publishing as well as a distribution company. These included Sheer Music, Sheer Sound, USM Records, Seed, 2 Feet, Muzacc (financial services), and Phat Bottom (digital distribution).
Sheer Music split away from the group in 2009 and relaunched itself as Shelter Music.
Sheer Sound was bought by the Gallo Record Company in 2014.
