OK Media Disc Service

CD and DVD manufacturer, established 1997. Plants are located in Nortorf (until 2011), Hohenwestedt (from 2012 until today) and Boizenburg (since 1999). History: In 1997, Warner Music Group, decided to divest their CD manufacturing plant in Nortorf due to poor market prospects. The plant became independent after a managemenrt buy-out and continued under the name OK Media Disc Service GmbH & Co. KG. In 1999 a second production site is opened in Boizenburg. DVD manufacturing starts in 2002. In 2011, after several years of losses, OK Media Disc Service is becoming insolvent and the plant in Nortorf is closed. All CD and DVD manufacturing is subsequently concentrated in Boizenburg. In 2012 manufacturing moved to Hohenwestedt.
