A/S Nera

Norsk Elektronisk Radio Aparatur (NERA). A/S Nera Aksjeselskapet Nera Originally founded in Oslo in 1919 as Norsk Telefunken Radioaktieselskap, and reestablished as "Nera" in 1947. The company's main business was manufacturing and sales of high technology telecommunication- and radio equipment, as well as gramophone records. Nera was in the 1950's the Norwegian representative/manufacturer of the labels Capitol Records, Cupol, Metronome, Musica (2), Pathé Actuelle, RCA Records, and Sonora (2). Aksjeselskapet Nera handled distribution of records for Aksent (2). In 1972, A/S Nera transferred all record company activities to their new daughter company A/S Disco.
