Atrium Verlag

Book publishing company founded 1935 by Kurt Maschler in Basel, Switzerland, to publish the works of Erich Kästner whose works were banned in Nazi Germany. From the late 1930s till 1950s Atrium Verlag also published the works of Kurt Tucholsky, Stefan Zweig, Norman Mailer and Erich Fried. In 1976 the publisher became Verlagsgruppe Oetinger (Verlag Friedrich Oetinger GmbH).
