Keysor Century Corp.

Keysor-Century Corporation, aka Keysor-Century Records, was established in Saugus by Jim Keysor, who moved his recording and plastics companies from Burbank in 1957. For two decades Keysor's Century Records Corp. was a contract record presser and manufacturer of custom LPs for the music education market. Bud Keysor was an innovator both in sound recording and in plastics, developing his own method for polymerization; his biggest customer for his company's polyvinyl chloride resins was RCA Records. Keysor-Century continued to press records, but the company also diversified into making plastics for CDs, credit cards, shower curtains and hoses. Tightening of environmental controls forced Keysor-Century to cease operations, filing bankruptcy on Dec. 10, 2003.
