CEI Studios

Courier Recording Studio was stated in August of 1963 by Robert T. Brown. The original location for the studio was 414 1/2 Croghan St in Fremont Ohio. The house record label during this time was Courier (2). Mid 1965 Bob seams to have changed the name of the studio to Courier - Empire International (CEI). This spurred a whole new set of house labels. Gospel Empire, Now! Records (3), Right Now!!, Empire (40) and Country Empire Records and the original Courier house label was retired. In the mid 70's Bob moved outside of Fremont and built a new studio. WIth the new studio came a new name Brownwood Studios which is still in operation today.
