True Sound Manufacturing Corp.

Pressing plant on Long Island, New York, active 1960s to 1970s, primarily for ABC Records and its subsidiary labels. Originally a subsidiary of Keel Mfg. Corp.. First located in Freeport, the company moved with its parent Keel to new facilities in Hauppauge in September 1964. Pressings are usually found with a 2.75" (70.0mm) pressing ring, plus (starting around 1972) a smaller, more indistinct 0.4375" (11.1mm) ring. Pressings can be identified by TSM or TƧM in the runouts. The Ƨ may look like a Z (TZM). True Sound, along with Keel Mfg. Corp., would be acquired by Pickwick International, Inc. in July, 1973.
