Abstract Records

Label founded by Edward Christie on 1st April 1981. Also see Abstract Sounds. Edward Christie had previously worked for CBS, GTO Records Records and GEM Records and was responsible for signing the UK Subs, The VIPS and The Killermeters amongst others. After the collapse of GEM (2), due to RCA withdrawing their financial backing, he set up Abstract. Its first release was the single Our Condition.
