Polish independent label JAM Phono. Co. was active 1989–1993, founded by Janusz Tworzyński, one of the pioneers of the private music market in Poland after the political transformation. The label was known for technical quality, careful graphic design, and genre-dependent, color-coded cassette covers. Catalogue included pop, rock, jazz, new age, folk, and classical releases, both on cassette and early Polish CDs. JAM was among the first Polish publishers of compact discs.
