Defunct Bay Area based DJ remix service started by Cameron Paul in the mid 1980s. Well known for the short but highly remixed 'bridges' between songs on some issues, (later called Cameron's Beats).
The majority of the remixes were done by Cameron Paul. Other remixers who contributed to the label were Donny Affif, Dave Christian, Bobby Roque, B.B. Hayes, Raul Recinos, Michael Erickson, Aaron Strong, Bill Worthington, Billy Vidal, Arthur McQueen, Lino Nobrega, Al Eaton, Steven Michael Turner, James Coles, Fabian Pulido (aka The Titlewave), Carlos Nedd (aka DJ Spicy Ice), Ray Von, Bill Barenboim, Wade Mendoza, Francisco Robles, Tony Valera, Mark Amador, Dee Cee, DJ DAD, A C Mixx, C, A.J., and Alexander "The Blade".
Released 78 single-vinyl issues (13 was skipped so last issue was 79) and 26 compilation CD's. A 3 CD "7th Anniversary" best of set was also released with some exclusive mixes. Mixx-It also spawned several spin-off services including Classixx Mixx (12 single vinyls and 5 compilation CD's) and Old School Mix (14 CD's).
Mixx-It was resurrected without the help of Cameron Paul after 2003 and sold CDr's of most issues for a time through the websites listed below. New remixes were planned but a release never surfaced.
