1994-2014 Formerly the Cock of the North pub, The Cockpit opened in 1994. Situated on Swinegate in Leeds, close to Leeds station the venue hosted small to medium sized touring artists as well as occasional showcases for local acts. The venue's three rooms could hold 875. Owned and operated by Futuresound Ltd On 10 September 2014 Cockpit announced that they are to close down after 20 years due to the state of their building.
