1) For recordings before 1949 of an orchestra associated with Münchner Radiosender, Deutsche Stunde in Bayern, variations, translations or successors of these.
2) For recordings of
Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks - The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (after 1949)
or
Münchner Rundfunkorchester - The Munich Radio Orchestra (after 1952)
- where the exact orchestra cannot be determined.
Both orchestras operate under the Bayerischer Rundfunk (Bavarian Radio). There is also a third orchestra to consider, the Tanzorchester Des Bayrischen Rundfunks, the light or dance orchestra.
