Graf Murzha is a Russian classical violinist. Transliteration in Cyrillic - Граф Муржа Transliteration in French - Graf Mourja Associate Professor at the Moscow Conservatory. Conducted master classes in Russia, Great Britain, France, Switzerland, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Since 2005, he has been invited to join the jury of international and Russian competitions. Graf Murzha plays a violin made in 1719, one of the late works of the Neapolitan master Alessandro Galliano, which he received for lifelong use from a patron. The aristocratic origin of the violin is emphasized by the beauty of its appearance, the preservation of the original varnish, and the richness of the timbre. One of the most gifted, bright and sought-after Russian violinists. He calls himself an eighth-generation violinist: his ancestors lived in Transcarpathia, and he himself absorbed Hungarian and Romanian folk music from childhood. In interviews, he never tires of explaining that the name Graf corresponds to his passport, but in life he is called by the Hungarian name Shandor.
