He was born in Barcelona in 1952. He studied music at the Conservatori Superior Municipal de Música de Barcelona where he studied guitar with the maestro Gracià Tarragó. From 1972 to 2015 he was a guitar teacher at the aforementioned school. It comprised of the Tarragó Quartet (1971-1988), realizing constant tours of concerts by Europe, Asia and America
