V. Baboie

Romanian painter, doctor, philosopher, musician, born in Brașov, 1914 - passed away in 2001, Ayer Canton of Valais, Switzerland. He was one of George Enescu's friends and was descending from an old family from Brașov. The painter Mișu Popp was his grandfather. He graduated from the University of Medicine in Cluj, and practiced medicine at the hospital of Craiova and hospital Cantacuzino, Bucharest. He studied painting with maestro Șirato. Refugee in Switzerland in 1979, was received into organization of plastic surgeons, exposing his paintings annually in various swiss cultural centers. He created his own painting style, recognoscible through thematic vision and especially by marks chromatic.
